My second of the day

I parked at SH 698484 in the old road parking spot. I gave a quick 2m call to Karen who was still on Arenig Fawr and waiting for me to summit Allt Fawr. It was the first of many as the way up was daunting at times so I took several QSO breaks on the way...thanks Karen. I think I should have done Allt Fawr first then Manod. Nevertheless, it was worth the effort as 2m and 60m worked well…probably alter the route slightly if I do it again by walking North up the main road and picking the ridge a little sooner.

Antenna - 3 band link dipole (60/40/20 (+15m extensions +80m loading coils)

(VHF) Yaesu FT270 & Yaesu FT2 (5watts) into a ‘Slim G’.

Antenna support – 5m Fishing pole
