After a fantastic haul of summit to summit points in the Lake District I was within a few points of getting my 5000 for the Platinum award and being the first in the United Kingdom to reach that goal. It was such a nice day that I loaded everything into the rucksack and headed to Hafod Ithel to get the necessary points. It happened within seconds as my first contact was with David GW8NZN/p on Moel Siabod , an 8 pointer which took me well over the 5000. Thanks for that one David. The bands were really working well so I enjoyed myself for the next few hours…..
