SOTA Weekend in the Lake District – Day 2

The previous evening at the SOTA weekend get-together at the pub in Winderemere, Paul HB9DST and I decided to team up for hopefully what would be another 2 summits to complete a wonderful weekend of SOTA activations. I picked up Paul from his B&B and we were away to our parking spot for Top o’Selside.

My activation set-up

HF:- Elecraft KX2 (8 watts) and 4Ah LiPo

Antenna - 3 band link dipole (60/40/20 (+15m extensions +80m loading coils)

(VHF) Yaesu FT270 & Yaesu FT2 (5watts) into a ‘cable tie’ dipole.

Antenna support – 5m Fishing pole
