The first after Covid lockdown..

Val was with me today as it had promised a really nice day. The forecast was correct and the bands were working as well.  Friends soon qualified the summit for me including Don G0RQL booming in from Holsworthy in Devon.  Tremendous run on 2m with quite a few s2s in the log.  We had a ‘social distancing’ meet up with Frank MW0OFA in Blaenffos for a few minutes which was a nice end to the day.

My activation set-up

HF:- Elecraft KX2 (8 watts) and 4Ah LiPo

Antenna - 3 band link dipole (60/40/20 (+15m extensions +80m loading coils)

(VHF) Yaesu FT270 & Yaesu FT2 (5watts) into a ‘Slim G’.

Antenna support – 5m and 4m Fishing pole
