G/LD-047 Loughrigg Fell

G/LD-047 Loughrigg Fell

10/04/2017

Two uniques today

We parked at the National Trust car park at NY 350065 and made our way to the summit along the valley floor on well made paths. There are various paths to get to the summit of Loughrigg with many people starting and finishing their walk in Ambleside.

Our route to the summit
Easy stroll to start with
Coin trunk? similar to the coin post seen on the way up Snowdon
The view North from Loughrigg
Nearly there Val :)
I started the activation on 2m and soon qualified the summit…there were some long chats with some of the contacts :)  Geoff WHA had gone mobile to get me…thanks Geoff.  A good run of regular chasers on 60m with the band behaving itself….thanks everyone.
