Joint activation with Colin M1BUU
I was on my way up to the SOTA weekend in the Lake District and couldn’t resist activating the summit as it was only a short drive off the M6 motorway and on my ‘to do’ list.. It was also a chance to have a joint activation with Colin M1BUU who had recently moved to the area. We met up at the car park at SD552761 and I duly followed Colin to the summit on one of the many routes that are available.
I easily qualified the summit on 2m
including an s2s with David GW8NZN on Pencloddiau closely followed by Rod
MI0JLA/p over on a Sota expedition with Viki in Northern Ireland. Colin went on
to HF immediately and had an enjoyable time on CW.
