GW/MW-025 The Begwns

GW/MW-025  The Begwns

21/02/2018

Second summit of the day

The Begwns is not far from Rhiw Gwraidd so I took the opportunity for another cup of coffee before the short sprint to the summit…this is a good SOTA starter summit as it is an easy walk . I had chosen it today so that I could get some easy s2s points with Rod and Viki.
Short walk to summit
Pen y Fan GW/SW-001 and Corn Du in the distance
With the 80m coils set up and a spot via RRT I was away with a good run of chasers which kept me busy for 20 minutes  and quite a few relaxed QSOs. Not many on 60m as I had spoken to most of the chasers on 80.
Messy office today
My office set up next to the wall and protected from the cold wind
Viki and Rod were soon in the log so I turned my attention to 20m. My only contact was Rod who couldn’t resist giving me a call to see what signal reports we would give each other 5/5 5/7. Thank you both for all the s2s points today.
