GM/SI-081 Bioda Buidhe

Isle of Skye 2015 - Second summit of the day

GM/SI-081 Bioda Buidhe

03/06/2015

Whilst the others were making their way down from Meall na Suiramach I quickly made my way up towards the summit of Bioda Buidhe.

Looking back at Meall na Suiramach

The wind had picked up considerably compared to the previous summit and when I arrived on top it was evident that I could not fully extend the pole and would have find a hollow to operate from. I set up inside the Bothy bag and quickly assembled the FT817 linking it to the linear.

With no phone signal I called out on 7.114 as 7.118 was occupied..Bingo! Karl M3FEH came back to my calls and the offer of a spot...thanks Karl.  As soon as I had finished with Karl, David EI7GEB/p called in with an s2s from EI/IW-005 so thank you for that one David. As soon as Karl’s spot kicked in I had a steady stream of regular chasers and although some of the sections of my pole decided to collapse  signal reports were not too bad :)
