With
Rhodri today & 10 points for SOTA
What a fantastic day although slightly too hot! Took plenty of water but that adds to the
weight in the rucksack..ah well. 17 contacts in total with 2 summit to summits.
Only one more 3000 footer left to do in Snowdonia. I took the plunge and spent
£18 on the advance online parking for Pen y Pass which went smoothly via
JustPark. It was great to have my eldest son Rhodri as company today...it's
been a long while since we activated a summit together. I've included some of
the many photos we took of our journey which include views of Snowdon, Crib
Goch, Tryfan, Y Garn and Elidir Fawr amongst others. We found a new way down
which avoided the scree bits and red dots we had on the way up...seems like a
new route is developing and not visible on our way up .. a 100m to the East.
