Back again!

Well I’d already done this one in April but a text from Gerald MW0WML saying that he was on his way down to Pembrokeshire for a few days and was hoping to pick up 8 SOTA points on the way…would I like to join him?  For this visit I was hoping for some s2s points to add to my tally :)
My GPS track...the boggy bits and streams were dry!!!
Cracking day...but.....
Despite glorious sunshine there was a strong cold wind blowing from the NE and we made the comment that it could well be a little difficult on the summit and that HF could be a non-starter.
It's up there
We were both glad to reach the shelter of the circular cairn as we had been really battered on the way up and confirming our thoughts regarding HF with Gerald shouting  “I think I’ve gone deaf!”   As we settled down in the cairn and using the handheld I gave a call out on 2m to see if Caroline and Martyn were still around on Pen Llithrig Y Wrach GW/NW-013…bingo.. s2s,  they were both still on summit…thank you both.

My Log
With me hanging on to the Multi Functional Dipole and Gerald using his FT857 (30 watts) he steadily filled a page in his log book with 2m FM contacts including a short visit on to 2m ssb (horizontally pol.).
