GW/NW-060 Mynydd y briw

10/August/2021

Long trek from home

Early start today to get to my first summit West of Oswestry…2.5 hours to the parking spot.  I was hoping to get Rod and Viki in my log as they were up in North Wales for the week.  Thanks to everyone that made my log. I carried the Yaesu FT1900 (with Zippy 4200 battery) to Mynydd y briw which gave me up to 50 watts to the Slim Jim as I thought it might be a difficult summit for 2m...notice that most of my 2m contacts were s2s with only two home based chasers.

GPS route from Sota mapping (MW0WML)

Don't block the gate

Steep but not far to go
