Happy New Year everyone

This was my 14^th activation of Foel Cwmcerwyn which over the last few years has taken place on or around the first day of the New Year. It was touch and go whether I’d be able to activate the summit as a big storm had pushed through overnight.  Luckily the rain had stopped but I experienced some really high winds on top forcing me to forget about HF. I had to hold the fibreglass pole today as it was so windy. Thanks everyone for all the contacts.

Cold activation today

Despite trying to make this a quick activation I landed up staying for nearly an hour...brrr. Getting that last fourth contact on 2m was difficult and I was forced to use HF. Nice run on 60m and thanks to everybody that called in.
